Today, Latch announced that Orla Lucey has joined the leadership team as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain and Manufacturing. Lucey will play a vital role as Latch continues to grow, overseeing the demand planning, manufacturing, and quality of Latch’s hardware products from end-to-end.
“Orla will make an immediate and lasting impact on Latch, as her deep experience, hard won relationships, and thoughtful approach to leadership will ensure Latch’s supply chain evolves as quickly and efficiently as the rest of our growing organization,” said Latch CEO and Co-Founder Luke Schoenfelder. “We’re already in more than 1 in 10 new apartments in the U.S. and know that investing in our supply chain will help us serve an increasingly larger market share.”
Prior to joining Latch, Lucey oversaw global supply chain at August Home from early-stage startup through acquisition by Assa Abloy. Over her nearly six year tenure, she was responsible for managing the entire supply chain along with manufacturing and quality, sales operations, and fulfillment and demand planning for all of the brand’s smart home products. Lucey also played a pivotal role in supporting the company as it partnered with Wal-Mart, Airbnb, and Amazon.
Previously, Lucey managed supply chain at Livescribe, a smart pen start-up that develops software-powered pens and paper to streamline the digitization of analog notes and audio recording. She also spent 10 years on the supply chain team at Analog Devices, a leader in the design and manufacturing of analog, mixed signal, and DSP integrated circuits.
Lucey’s tested supply chain expertise, including her decades of experience in sourcing, logistics, order fulfillment, and demand planning around the world, will help insure Latch’s products remain in a class of their own.
“The opportunity to help lead Latch as it capitalizes on an ever-growing total addressable market, while building stronger, more strategic relationships with our partners across our value chain is incredibly exciting,” Lucey said. “I’m focused on complementing, operationalizing, and scaling best practices as Latch continues to expand its offering with products that create and define their categories.”
