The Latch App for Apple Watch is Now Available

Latch is the first full-building access solution that helps people open, manage, and share the spaces that matter. Latch helps owners and property managers meet the needs of the modern resident by enabling smarter, seamless access at every door. Now, we've created yet another hands-free and phone-free option to make residents’ and property managers’ lives even easier.

We have always offered three different ways to unlock: the Latch App, a doorcode, or a keycard. We’re proud to introduce another option for our iOS users: the Latch App for Apple Watch. This new unlocking experience prioritizes simplicity, and provides users with the flexibility to choose how to open their space—even without their phone.

Starting today, residents and property managers can download the Latch App to their Apple Watch (Series 2 and newer) and use it to gain access to their spaces, no phone necessary. By simply tapping the Apple Watch app, they can hold their wrist up to any Latch device and unlock their doors automatically using Bluetooth. Residents will also have access to their personal doorcodes through the Latch App for Apple Watch for added convenience.

While the mobile Latch App experience will continue to be our most popular unlock credential, the Apple Watch gives on-the-go residents the option of going for a run or to the gym without carrying their phone. Guests given long-term access through the Latch App will also have the option of using the Apple Watch app. To maintain building security, when property managers remove resident access, the update is automatically reflected in the Latch App along with the Latch App for Apple Watch.
