Latch announces new multifamily real estate partners

NEW YORK, NYLatch, creators of the first smart access system for apartment buildings, is announcing partnerships with some of the largest real estate developers in the country, including Alliance Residential, Brookfield Properties, The Buccini/Pollin Group (BPG), Encore Capital Management, Prometheus, Related Group, RXR Realty, Strategic Capital, and Toll Brothers. These partnerships include installing Latch’s smart access hardware throughout some of the brands’ marquee properties currently open or in development, as well as utilizing Latch’s innovative access control software and visual auditing capabilities.

“It is a great privilege that the most respected real estate brands trust us to revolutionize their residents’ living experiences through smart access,” said Latch’s COO, Ali Hussain. “There is incredible demand for smart access-enabled experiences in apartment buildings, from automatic in-building deliveries to seamless access sharing for guests and services providers, and these brands are at the forefront of ‘unlocking’ the future of modern living for their residents.”

Latch’s smart access system lets residents use their smartphone to unlock doors throughout their building, including at the main entrance, their apartment unit, gym, and other amenity spaces. Users can also grant temporary access to guests and service providers, like dog walkers and cleaners, through time-limited access codes. An embedded wide-angle camera within each device captures a visual record of every interaction by a non-resident that they can view from the Latch app, giving residents peace of mind and added security when they are away from home. And through Latch’s national delivery partners, residents’ packages are automatically delivered safely inside their building.

“Across our entire portfolio, we’ve seen the importance of implementing technologies that can vastly improve the tenant experience,” said Scott Rechler, Chairman and CEO of RXR Realty.  “Latch is one of the companies at the forefront of this movement, especially in the multifamily space, and we believe their smart technology will create an entirely new living experience for our residents. We’re excited to introduce Latch across our multifamily portfolio.”

“We are incorporating the Latch lock system at The Kendrick, in Needham, MA, and other select communities, as it aligns well with our luxury brand,” Charles Elliott, President, Toll Brothers Apartment Living, said. “The system provides an innovative way to deliver convenience to our residents and operations teams in a well-designed form that integrates with our broader technology platform.”

“Brookfield is always looking for ways to enhance the everyday experience of our residents, and implementing innovative technology continues to be a major area of focus for us,” said Brookfield Property Group Executive Vice President Ben Brown. “With Latch’s technology, we will provide our Greenpoint Landing residents with seamless access to their homes and a level of convenience previously not possible.”

“As an organization, we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of new concepts and technologies that improve the lives of our residents,” said Dan Kelly, Vice President of Residential Operations, The Buccini/Pollin Group (BPG). “When we select a product like Latch, we are showing residents and future residents that ResideBPG Management wants to improve their lives and truly values their time. Latch offers so many features, such as resident notifications, limited time access codes, and a photo log taken at a residents door! This is the first time we are seeing our smart devices optimized and pushing the boundaries of what they can do in the multifamily industry.”
